Enrichment: rich indeed!
Dear children and parents/carers
Last half-term we introduced a new way of spending each Friday afternoon- enrichment!
The idea is that adults who have an interest, skill or talent, volunteer a workshop that they want to lead for 5-6 weeks.
We sort out extra-adult help, a room, resources and the most important ingredient – a group of children.
This half term we have 23 activities and 39 adults to help.
Year 1-2: Karate, Scrapbooks,Drawing, Dance, Computers, Mask making, Sign Language and Christmas Art
Year 3-4: Line Dancing, Dance, Arts n Crafts, Technology, Outdoor Puruits and Digital Photography
Year 5-6: Code breaking, Dance, ICT, Cookery, Woodwork,Netball, Music and Craft.
That’s rich indeed!
The children choose their activity and enjoy a great afternoon of enrichment. Year 5-6 work from 1pm-2.10pm and they are followed by Year 1-4 from 2.10pm-3.20pm.
Every bit of the space is used and the children learn lots of new skills.
That’s rich too!
Thank you to all staff and volunteers!
Next blogs!! December 1st, December 15th.
Best Wishes
