British Science Week at John Clifford
British Science Week 2015 at John Clifford!
Last week was this years official British Science Week and in we knew we had to take the opportunity to create some great science memories in true John Clifford style!
Children from across the whole school (Foundation through to Year 6) were mixed together and had the opportunity to take part in six science experiments throughout the day. Each classroom was turned into a lab for the children to experiment and use their investigative skills. Experiments ranged from kite making, battery (and potato!?) circuits and 'gloop' goo making in KS1 to forensic finger printing, volcano making and Cola explosions in KS2.
Our leading 'lab' scientists (AKA the teachers!) held each session and probed the children to think about the reasons why things that they could see, and not see in some cases, were happening.
The children had a fantastic day. A range of pictures fromt he day can be found below!
