Handwriting and number formation

Hello! Happy Monday. Today we are going to start by warming up our fingers in the same way we warm up our bodies before doing any exercise! Please look at the video below before starting your handwriting practice.

Finger Aerobics

Try finger aerombic exercises to warm up the fingers before a writing task. This is an easy fine motor activity that the whole classroom can participate in. ...

Next can you practise the curly caterpillar letters from last week just to remind your brain and your hand how to do them! Check you are holding you pencil like this?

This week we are going to be looking at the one arm robot letters. Please watch the video below and remember these letters all begin at the TOP!!!

One Armed Robot Letters

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

It's also important to form our numbers correctly and try to make sure they are small enough to fit into the squares in our maths books.

All of the numbers start at the top and watch out for the number 5 which is the tricky one! You need to go down round for his tummy and then lift and put on his hat.

If you are really good at writing numbers why not go for a number hunt around your house, down your street, look on car number plates and collect as many numbers as you can!

Otherwise keep writing the numbers like this please.
