John Clifford Primary & Nursery School ‘Be your best. Celebrate success. Together we will be successful.’

This half term we have found a new resource for our maths learning and wanted to give it a try. The Oak National Academy has lots of online resources for you to have a go at and we are going to use this for your maths learning this half term. Make sure to let us know what you think of this new resource on the blog or on the stay in touch email address.

This week we are continuing to look at shape and symmetry. There are 15 lessons in total for this area and we are asking you to have a go at the final 3 lessons 13-15 this week which you can find below.

Alternatively, if you look at the main page found here: you can find any of the lessons you need, but remember, no more than 4 in a week.

There are a couple of extra activities for you here too:

Times Table Rock Stars - Battle of the Bands!

There's a rematch this week between Year 4 and Year 3! Come on Year 4 lets make up for last weeks loss with an outstanding win! this week

Who will win??

Previous Battle Results:

Battle 1 winners were Lemurs, well done! A special shout out to Starla, who scored nearly 8000 points for her class!

Battle 2 winners were Lemurs, well done!

Battle 3 winners were...Lemurs again!

Battle 4 winners were Lemurs.

Battle 5 winners were Year 3!

More Maths ideas!

- Carol Vorderman is offering her maths lessons for free during the period of school closures, check them out here!

- Practise telling the time (on an analogue clock, as well as a digital one!)

- Get in the kitchen and help your grown ups. There is a lot of weighing and measuring involved in cooking and baking, which will definitely help your Maths skills - and you'll get something yummy to eat at the end of it too! :)

- As always, get on Times Table Rock Stars as much as possible! How many of your tables can you learn by heart by the time we get back to school?
