WALA: Ordering Numbers to 10/20:
Hi all Miss McDonnell here with today's lesson. Before we begin I would like you to join in with the video below, counting to 20.
Today in Maths we are going to order numbers. Ordering numbers means putting them in the correct order from the smallest to the largest. Look at my example below. Have I put them in the correct order?
0 5 3 1 2 4
Did that sound right?
Let me try again.
0 1 2 3 4 5
How did that sound?
That's right it was better wasn't it as I have put my numbers in the correct order starting with the smallest and working up to the largest.
Now it's going to be your turn. First I would like you to watch the Number Blocks video. In this video the numbers all get muddled up and they have to work together to get back into the correct order. After you have watched this I would like you to complete the cutting and sticking worksheets below. You will see that I have added two worksheets for you. The first is ordering numbers up to 10. The second worksheet goes all the way up to 20 if you would like the challenge. You can take a picture of your completed work and send it to myself and Miss King at email@example.com. We look forward to seeing your work.
