Kingswood Day 2
Well we've all had a very busy and hardworking day today! The morning found us racing around the quad bikes track and shooting arrows at the targets. Lots of children were successful in both groups achieving high scores and accurate steering and not too many crashes. After that many of us conquered the height of the tower to zipwire or abseil down. These were challenges by choice where the children set their own level of attainment, most of them exceeded their expectations and were rightly proud of themselves. Following a hearty lunch, it was time for fencing skills or logical thinking and design in Team Tech. A lot of jumping and shooting on the Aeroball trampoline led to some hot and sweaty children. The Team Challenge activity found us balancing, swinging, squeezing through and over a variety of obstacles displaying our team skills and support for each other in difficult tasks. Spaghetti Bolognese or fajitas were on the menu this evening and all plates were empty and cleared away quickly ready for the scrapheap challenge. The challenge was to design and make a container from junk to hold a water balloon. Unfortunately, Toby ended up a little damp as the bombs landed!
We are all now tucked up in our beds after a hot shower. Good night...more news tomorrow.
Lots of love from your friends at Kingswood. xxxx
